VaniBot uses Google Cloud Speech-to-Text (Chirp 2), which natively supports Sinhala (si-LK), Tamil (ta-LK), and English (en-US). When a customer sends a voice note, VaniBot transcribes it, detects the intent, and replies — all in under 3 seconds. Sinhala accuracy is 75–80%, Tamil 80–85%, and English 95%+. If confidence is low, VaniBot politely asks the customer to send a text instead.
Yes! When a customer taps 'Call' on your WhatsApp Business number, VaniBot picks up and talks in their language. Tamil and English calls use Gemini Live API for natural conversation (~500 ms latency). Sinhala calls use a hybrid pipeline with Gemini TTS for high-quality voice responses. VaniBot uses confidence scoring on every message. If it can't confidently understand a voice note, it politely asks the customer to send a text instead.
